HUB101 IS A POKÉMON GO GYM

By Molly Strawn-Hub101 If you need yet another reason to work out of Hub101 in Westlake Village, look no further than the new augmented reality mobile game currently taking the world by storm. That’s right, our very own Hub101 is a Pokémon Go gym.

The fountain in the Hub101 courtyard has been found to be a hot spot for players, great for advancing their Pokémon’s experience, sharpening fighting tactics, battling other trainers and working hard to be the very best that no one ever was.

If you’ve been on the internet lately, or even just outside, you’ve probably heard more than once about the new mobile app. The new game is unlike any handheld Nintendo Pokémon game released in the 1990’s: it is a free downloadable game for iOS and Android devices. It is also an augmented reality-infused game, meaning it blends game play and the real

locations together. Trainers must now walk around to different locations in order to “catch ‘em all,” looking through the camera to see wild Pokémon in the real world. Geographic location and time of day dictate the type of Pokémon you will find wherever you go.

Surpassing even the expectations of creators Niantic, the user count is now being declared higher than dating app Tinder and is expected to pass Twitter’s user count in the coming weeks.
